Leaders in Energy reaches 2,600 members

Leaders in Energy recently celebrated another milestone – over 2,600 members in the Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policies & Analysis group on LinkedIn.

Whenever this happens, we like to shine the spotlight on our members to show the diversity of talents and backgrounds that are joining our group – either virtually or by attending our monthly networking events in the Washington, DC area. Today, let’s welcome Marilyn Waite, who is one of the speakers at the Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza on February 24, 2017.

Here’s what she had to say.

My vision is a world where sustainability values of social cohesion, environmental consciousness, intergenerational equity, and economic health drive decision-making and business practices. From leading nuclear and renewable energy projects to investing in early stage companies solving energy challenges, I’m excited to support the energy transformation.

I currently lead the energy practice at Village Capital, serve on the Board of Directors for Engineers for a Sustainable World and model solutions for climate change as a Senior Research Fellow at Paul Hawken’s Project Drawdown. In my recent book Sustainability at Work, I illustrate how sustainability can be incorporated into every imaginable career, including those in the energy industry.

It’s a pleasure to join Leaders in Energy. Feel free to reach out at marilyn@marilynwaite.com and on Twitter at https://twitter.com/waitemarilyn.

Welcome to the group, Marilyn. With members in over 100 countries, the LinkedIn group Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policies & Analysis has passed another milestone. In recent months we have given the spotlight to Velina Apostolova from IcelandSteve Williams from Houston, Texas, Whitaker Irvin Jr. from Park City, Utah, and Matthew Shonman in Washington, DC
