Welcome to our 2200th member, Velina Apostolova, from Iceland!

Velina ApostolovaLeaders in Energy is pleased to announce its 2200th member — Velina Apostolova — who works on energy issues in Iceland. Velina is the Marketing and Communications Executive for the CHARGE – Energy Branding Conference and the Marketing Analytics Manager at LarsEn Energy Branding. We asked her to tell us about her interest and background in energy.

Velina: My interest in the energy stems from the passion my colleagues at LarsEn Energy Branding have for the concept of energy branding and the time and effort the team has put into introducing this very important strategic factor for the industry.

I’m enthusiastic about innovation, and I was the marketing manager of The Golden Egg, the largest business plan competition for entrepreneurs in Iceland. I believe in the power and devotion of people and consider these to be the most valuable assets any company can have.

I am currently the Marketing and Communications Executive for the CHARGE – Energy Branding Conference, which is the first of its kind in the world and will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland in September. With powerful branding the energy sector can evolve and be ready for more efficient sources of energy, new technology, outsiders entering the field and ever-changing consumer behavior. Therefore, I believe CHARGE to be a significant event for anyone working in energy who wants to strengthen their position and ensure the future of their company.

Welcome to the group, Velina. As we mentioned at the onset, the LinkedIn group Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policies & Analysis is past the 2,200 mark. We celebrate these milestones because it shows how far the group has come, but also because it gives our members a sense of who we are as a group. Learn more on a recent profile by Tamaki Stiles.
