This past January I led a sold-out Green Career Workshop for Leaders in Energy, and am quite inspired by all the energy that was in the room!

In her welcoming remarks, Executive Director Janine Finnell highlighted how Leaders in Energy is building a community of leaders to advance solutions for a sustainable energy system, economy, and world.

During the workshop that followed, participants discovered insights about their career strengths and preferences and how these can be tailored for application to the new green economy, e.g. clean energy, sustainability, circular economy, resiliency, etc.

Thirty professionals from the greater DC area participated – including an attendee who traveled from as far as Philadelphia! Special thanks to Chad Stockman and colleagues with The McCormick Group for hosting us and for the support of Leaders in Energy volunteer Miriam Aczel.

If you missed it, you can still join us for our new Green Career Momentum program series for those looking to land, create, pivot into, or move up into your dream green job.  It will start on April 19, 2018 and run through June 21, 2018 –  learn more here.

If you are in the midst of a career transition, check out the newest True North podcast, featuring an interview (21:50) with Eric Hertting and Ken Schoppmann of 40 Plus of Greater Washington.  The program offers great resources for people who are looking to land their next new opportunity.   You can also view additional green job information at our Leaders in Energy Career Resources page here.
