The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates 3.4 million green jobs exist in the United States. By 2030, it is estimated that 150,000 jobs in the wind industry and 290,000 jobs in the solar industry will be created, according to the Distributed Wind Energy Association and the U.S. Department of Energy, respectively. McKinsey & Company projects that 100,000 jobs could be created worldwide in the next five years by implementing circular economy practices of recycling, reuse, and remanufacturing.

Despite these rosy statistics of a greening world, many job seekers are still finding it hard to tap into these supposed green jobs and the growing green economy.
