Gaby Seltzer is Vice-Chair of the Leaders in Energy Circular Economy Working Group, where she plans and leads monthly events that build culture and community around circular economy ideas.  She is the Program Manager for DC Central Kitchen’s Healthy Corners Program, a social enterprise initiative that provides affordable fresh produce and healthy snacks to corner stores in low-income parts of DC. There, she manages partnerships with 50+ small businesses, oversees daily delivery operations, spearheads projects to build community purchasing power, and serves on the organization’s Green Team.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Environmental Studies from Lewis & Clark College.

Justine Burt is the Founder + CEO of Appraccel, an environmental sustainability consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her new book, The Great Pivot: Creating Meaningful Work to Build a Sustainable Future, discusses how outsourcing, the gig economy, and automation have destabilized the world of work and details 30 green jobs projects the U.S. could scale up and fund to create millions of meaningful jobs. Ms. Burt specializes in sustainability behavior change in energy efficiency, alternative transportation, and waste prevention. Clients include NASA Ames Research Center, the U.S. House of Representatives, Alameda County StopWaste, businesses in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and retail, various universities, the Clean Coalition and the Bay Area Recycling Outreach Coalition. She holds degrees in Economics and Environmental Policy

Martin Ogle is the Founder of Entrepreneurial Earth, LLC, an educational consulting firm based in Boulder, Colorado which helps companies, organizations and individuals/families envision and implement sustainable ways of working and living. Mr. Ogle has been working to develop an ALL Careers Initiative and approach to promote the connection of environmental literacy and concern with ALL careers, not just the small segment of the economy made up of “environmental careers” as presently understood. Before forming Entrepreneurial Earth, LLC, Martin Ogle worked for 27 years as Chief Naturalist for the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. Mr. Ogle attained B.S. and M.S. degrees in Wildlife Science from Colorado State University and Virginia Tech, respectively.

MODERATOR: Janine Finnell is the Executive Director of Leaders in Energy (LE).  In founding LE, she has built a global action network of changemakers to accelerate the shift to a green economy by harnessing multigenerational talent and leadership.  Her domestic and international career spans policy and research, program management, communications, outreach, and management consulting in the energy and sustainability fields.  Her experience includes working at a state energy office, serving as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Agency for International Development, and consulting to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as non-governmental organizations, DOE national laboratories, and the electric utility industry. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison

William Ellis is a Senior Portfolio Manager of Energy Efficiency at Pepco Holdings, an Exelon Company,responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for increasing Demand Side Management programs across Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Pepco. Work includes increasing adoption of behind the meter technology and programs to help customers better manage their energy usage, while leveraging these assets to maximize grid utilization.

As Sr. Portfolio Manager, Mr. Ellis serves as a hiring manager and oversees the development of key strategies for creating customer programs including Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, and the use of Data Analytics to meet aggressive state goals in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey.

Catherine McLean is the Founder of Dylan Green, a strategic talent acquisition consultancy placing commercial professionals within the clean energy and technology space. Ms. McLean developed a passion for clean energy and technology in 2011. She worked at the United Nations developing relationships with governments on public-private partnerships and subsequently took a job as a Consultant at Acre Resources, a global recruitment firm focused on energy and sustainability. Catherine founded recruitment business McLean Ross in 2011, with a core focus on placing sales and marketing professionals within the energy and utility industry. In 2017, McLean Ross merged with global engineering recruitment business JDR Energy, creating JD Ross Energy. With a growing need for diversity in clean energy, Catherine launched Dylan Green in 2019, placing diverse professionals within the clean energy industry. She is based in Arlington, VA.

Florence Navarro, Chief Empowerment Officer, Kichocheo LLC (meaning ‘catalyst’ in Swahili), provides recruitment consulting and training services to help purpose-driven organizations hire the right talent for the right team at the right time.  She has worked in Central Europe, Africa and Asia for the United Nations and the World Bank Group, a global non-profit, and social enterprise incubator programs. Since 2007, she has supported entrepreneurs around the world to launch and grow their companies, from biodiversity-based to sanitation or ed tech businesses. Recognized for identifying talent, nurturing teams and mentoring the next generation of diverse leaders, she leverages her extensive global network to match people’s talents with organizations.  Florence has an M.S. in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS.)

MODERATOR: Beth Offenbacker, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of Waterford, Inc, and Director of Training and Development for Leaders in Energy. She has more than 25 years of experience in training, coaching, talent development, engagement, community relations, marketing, and project management experience. Beth’s core expertise is in developing and implementing talent management and development programs for emerging, established, and senior-level professionals. Her programs focus on developing the skills and talents green leaders need to make a positive impact in the world, at an individual and team level. She holds a Doctorate from Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy.
