The Maker Economy And Local Manufacturing in the DC Metro Region

Our event at the TechShop in Crystal City, Arlington will focus on the maker economy and local manufacturing in the DC Metro region. We will have presentations by local business folks, and then allow attendees to walk around the space and hear current TS members talk about their projects.

Our goals are several:
–introduce TechShop to a wider audience in the Arlington and DC Metro community;
–showcase the wide variety of talent currently working at TS; and
–provide a forum for business/professional networking among the TS members and attendees.

We seek to attract a wide variety of attendees to include staff and members of the Arlington Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and Economic Development offices around the DC Region, other entrepreneurs, possible investors, and other groups looking to work with TechShop.
