With today’s wave of socially conscious consumers and the rise of the empowered Millennial, there is an increasing desire to invest in the way we live, with consumer behavior influencing the way we make investment decision. A new vision of the business corporation is emerging, replacing the old notion that the only duty of a corporation is to make a profit. Instead, a more expansive vision and set of expectations is taking hold, wherein consumers, investors and business leaders agree that business not only need to be more responsive to social and environmental concerns, but may lead the transition to a more sustainable global economy.

What was once referred to as socially responsible (SRI) has now become a mainstream investment discipline called sustainable investing. Formally, limited to negative screens, today’s approach incorporates positive environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the research process.

If you are interested in learning about SI investing and how to implement responsible investing into your portfolio, join us on June 14th.
