Working Group Meeting – The Circular Economy

August 5, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm UTC-5

The Circular Economy Working Group seeks to emulate nature by closing the loop of resource use and recycling, where nothing is wasted and everything serves a purpose!    Join us for our Circular Economy Working Group meetings which are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month.  The DC Circular Economy Working Group meets under Leaders in Energy and consists of individuals in the public, private, governmental, and non-profit sector who are interested in learning about circular economy issues and in creating a more circular economy in the DMV Region.

Note:  While we are all engaging in physical distancing, it behooves us to continue the work of building the circular economy here in the DC region. As we move towards healing, rebuilding and recovering from this crisis it is critical that we do so in a way that embraces circular economic principles, replenishing natural systems and human communities, while implementing innovative strategies to solve climate change.

The Leaders In Energy Circular Economy Group is hosting the next installment of its “Working Circular Happy Hour Series” on “How to do a Waste Audit.” We will be joined by Kevin John Hollerbach, EPA Environmental Policy Analyst and Andrew Moiseff, Program Analyst at the EPA Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
