We invite you to attend “Getting to Zero Carbon Buildings” presented by EcoAction Arlington. LE is helping to sponsor this event.

Learn from practitioners about progress in reducing the carbon footprint of new buildings needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet carbon neutrality goals. Zero carbon buildings incorporate high energy efficiency, fossil-fuel free operation, renewable energy and low or even negative carbon materials. This webinar will also explore metrics for gauging return on investment, challenges, and policy opportunities to accelerate change.

Daniel McGee, Redbrick LMD – Local Experience in Building Zero Carbon Buildings

Dan McGee will share his experience in overseeing construction of zero carbon multi-family buildings in DC”s Bridge District under the International Living Futures Institute and the value such projects bring to Redbrick’s real estate business and to the community.

Jamal Lewis, Rewiring America  – Policies and Incentives to Advance Affordable Zero Carbon Buildings

Jamal Lewis will offer a range of strategies, policies and incentives that states and localities can use to advance electrification, healthy housing, and energy efficiency programs and policies. He will also outline pathways to promoting equity by retrofitting our existing housing stock to be healthy, energy-efficient, all-electric, and affordable.

Moderator – Kiersten Washle, Consulting Engineer designing high performance new and retrofitted buildings
