Energy Management in Arlington County

John Morrill, Arlington Energy Manager, leads energy management and related programming for Arlington County, Virginia, and is instrumental to Arlington\’s community-wide energy plan, now in progress. Morrill received a U.S. EPA Climate Protection Award in 2008 in recognition of his co-founding of Arlington Initiative to Reduce Emissions (AIRE), Arlington\’s climate action program, and his assistance to other jurisdictions in Virginia. He also spent 17 years on the staff of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), worked briefly as a Vice President for Sustainable Development at Emerald Cities Collaborative, and coauthored two books on energy and the environment.
