C2 Management in Berryville Recycling Facility and Local Vineyard

Our Leaders in Energy Circular Economy Working Group will visit C2 Management’s Recycling Facility and a local vineyard to learn about sustainable practices on its technical tour on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from noon to 5 pm.

C2 Management (C2) is the trade name for CIE International L.L.C., a Virginia corporation since 2001. C2 stands for cradle-to-cradle and reflects their goals to become a leader in the asset recovery and electronics recycling industries. We want to set the standard for re-use and recycling while ensuring their clients are protected from data and environmental liabilities.  Founded in 1998 by Chris Hansen, C2 is the Mid-Atlantic’s largest provider of surplus asset recovery services with an established reputation for efficiency and reliability.

C2 Management is an industry leader in the responsible disposition of Business and Industrial Electronics, Government Surplus Property, Data Containing Devices, Lab and Test Equipment, and Large and Proprietary Equipment for both corporate and government clients. They specialize in e-waste recycling, re-use, removal, and secure data destruction.

C2 Management currently serves over a dozen customers in the northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC metropolitan areas and employs 48 at our Berryville, VA facility. C2’s clients include Fairfax County, NIH, NCIC, USDA-CEPO, GSA, Hughes Network Systems, Lockheed Martin, Frederick County Virginia Landfill, and many others including other large recycling firms that send assets to C2 for resale.

Technical Tour Schedule

Lunch will be served and the event is free.   NOTE that registration is required to attend (see registration button below).   This registration information will help us to plan the refreshments and be used to help people to coordinate carpooling arrangements.  Please RSVP by Friday the 14th so we can have enough lead-time for planning logistics

12:00 pm — Arrive at C2 and have lunch
12:45 to 2:00 pm –Tour the facility
2 to 3:30 pm –Hold Working Group meeting
3:30 to 4: 00 pm — Travel to Vineyard (to be announced))
4:00 pm — Tour vineyard (with an eye to sustainability practices)
5:00 pm — Adjourn
