Leaders in Energy just reached an exciting new milestone, with over 3,100 members in the Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policies & Analysis group on LinkedIn–and growing!
When new milestones are reached, we like to highlight the diverse experiences and talents of our active members and of those new to our group. Our ever-expanding network features members from around the globe, as well as those local to the Washington, DC area. We wanted to catch up with Deborah Lenny, our 3,100th member, who kindly agreed to share with us a bit about her background and experience.
Deborah Lenny began her career as an engineer in 1990 with Public Service Electric & Gas, and was part of the evolving deregulated energy industry. Since that time, she held many positions in both the regulated and the deregulated energy industries.
In her current role with Direct Energy, she is responsible for Consultative Channel Sales in North America. Her team focuses on optimizing the delivery of managed and non-commodity energy products with North American brokers to larger customers with complex energy transactions.
She has an Engineering Degree from Rutgers University and a Master’s of Business Administration from LaSalle University.
Deb is passionate about the development of women in engineering and energy through her work in local area STEM programs. She serves on the board of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL).
Deborah Lenny is grateful to work with Janine Finnell on the board of CWEEL and looks forward to becoming an active member of Leaders in Energy.
